You first jumped in to my rescue with the death of one of our employee stockholders with a buy-back agreement. The issue was very emotional for our company and you were able to respond right away and conduct a thorough valuation of our company so that we could put the estate concerns of our employee's widow to rest. The quality of your valuation was outstanding. We had conducted valuations in the past through our then current CPA, but the level of detail and research you conducted and provided with your valuation was far superior. It was of real value in this case where we had lawyers involved due to the need of a fair stock price to settle the buy-back agreement.
The second time you came to my aid was in evaluating a potential acquisition and possible successor for me. As a family owned business, this was once again a very emotionally tricky situation since the company under consideration was also related to me. You handled this superbly. You led both parties through the process with kid gloves. Upon conducting the preliminary rounds of the due diligence you had the professional integrity to tell me like you saw it, which was to drop the concept and not proceed. This must have been hard for you because you could see the emotional investment from both sides of the table but from an economic and business perspective the transaction would have made little sense.
